The vehicle is unable to recognize the bypass kit once the 2nd key is removed from the ignition barrel. The vehicle will go into programming mode but when the bypass kit is placed close to the ignition barrel it is not recognized. The vehicle's anti-theft system is not sensitive enough to pickup the transponder's signature from the PATS bypass kit. This is not a flaw in the engineering or manufacturing of the bypass kit itself, but rather a result of very small field strength of the vehicles transponder...
The bypass kit programs successfully and the remote-starter is able to start the vehicle numerous times until the dash and/or steering column cover is re-assembled at which time the remote-starter is no longer able to bypass the PATS/Transponder system. The PATS/Transponder ring has been misplaced or damaged during the re-assembly process. Disassemble the steering column cover and inspect the bypass kits transmission ring. Depending on the ring being used... (A) If the bypass kit's ring is a copper c...
The installer is unable to program the bypass kit's onboard transponder into the vehicle's BCM (Body Control Module). In the majorority of these cases the remote starter timing is not fast enough to enable the vehicle's ignition and the bypass kit's transponder output so the vehicle's BCM times-out in the middle of the installation programming procedure. The vehicle and bypass kit will need to be 'hot-wired' near the end of the programming sequence in order to enable the Bypass kit's output before the B...
The message center displays a 'RKE Battery Low' warning. There is currently no solution to remove this warning from the vehicles message center. The bypass kit will not affect or damage the vehicle in any way, and the message is not an indication that something is wrong. This message should be ignored when the vehicle is started with the remote-starter and the bypass kit is used to bypass the vehicles security.
The bypass kit will not program while the data portion (if applicable) may work on some vehicles. The internal transponder on these bypasskits can only be programmed once. When they are programmed into the vehicles' control module they are slightly modified and cannot be used again. Some distributors were unaware of this, and there have been a few reports where there have been some used bypass kits recirculated back to our customers. This problem should be assumed as a last resort. If all else fails it...
