Overview
Chrysler ALL-IN-ONE ignition module with immobilizer bypass
The EVO-CHR is an ALL-IN-ONE ignition module with immobilizer bypass and CAN Bus interface that is compatible with ALL after-market remote car starters and functional with ALL Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicle models from 2004-2010 [1]. **For Push-to-start vehicles, the takeover will not be available unless the user inserts the key into the key port and turn it to the ON position before pressing the brake.
The EVO-CHR includes a 2-way Data-Link port for serial communication with compatible remote car starters and also includes analog plug for compatability with non 2-way Data-Link compatible remote car starters[2]. A key is required for programming but no key is required for operation.
The THAR-CHR1 T-Harness (included) is required for the new Chrysler TIP keys and the THAR-CHR2 T-Harness (sold separately) is required for the older style ignition barrels. Refer to the vehicle compatibility guide to see which T-Harness is required for a specific vehicle.
The EVO-CHR provides complete control through the T-Harness. These features include immobilizer bypass, keyless entry, factory security as well as the neccessary ignition, accesory, start, foot-brake, hand-brake, door-pin, trunk-pin, hood-pin and tachomoter signals required for remote car starter installations[3]. There is no need to disassemble the ignition barrel on the new TIP key Chrysler vehicles. Simply unplug the harness at the ignition barrel and plug in the T-Harness for a complete remote car starter installation.
[1] Dodge Sprinter currently not supported.
[2] Non 2-way Data-Link compatible remote starters require additional analog connections to the EVO-CHR.
[3] Older Chrysler vehicles that do not utilize CAN Bus communication require analog connections. See vehicle compatibility guide for details.
Resources required for programming the unit in the vehicle. Does not include operation.
