14 Apr 2005 Programming LED does not turn on.

The data bypass kit's LED does not turn on when the module is plugged in. The bypass kit is unable to power up. Either there is no power (+12vDC) on the red wire, or no ground (0vDC) on the black wire. Measure the voltage across these terminals and ensure the unit is getting 12vDC when the vehicle is idle, during crank and running with the key.

The data bypass kit's LED remains on when programming and never goes out. The bypass kits output data wire wire is not connected to pin #2 of the vehicles OBDII connector (violet) under the dash, or the bypass kits ground-out-while-running input wire is always at ground even when the remote-starter is shut down. The vehicle's horn honks everytime the remote-starter or aftermarket alarm sends a lock and/or unlock pulse to the bypass kit.
