Transponder bypass kit will not program. (PATS-4)

Symptom

The bypass kit will not program, even after numerous attempts.


Cause

By default, the manufacturer has locked the BCM on the Mazda 5 preventing it from learning a new transponder.


Solution

A dealer tech-tool will need to be plugged into the data-port of the Mazda 5, and enable the transponder learning option.
