Bypass kit will not program. (GM-SL)

Symptom

The bypass kit's LED comes on after inserting the harness but the LED will not flash once the vehicle's ignition is turned on.

Cause

Either an older version of GM-SL is beign used, or the ignition was not left on long enough.

Solution

Ensure that the GM-SL is at least version 3.4 (3.3 does not program on older GM vehicles). While holding the button, turn the ignition on and wait for at least 15 seconds for the bypass kit to detect the vehicle. The LED may take up to 15-20 seconds before it begins to flash.
