Horn honks with lock/unlock.

Symptom

The vehicle's horn honks everytime the remote-starter or aftermarket alarm sends a lock and/or unlock pulse to the bypass kit.

Cause

(A) The bypass kit is receiving a double-lock or double-unlock pulse from the remote-starter or after-market alarm.

(B) The remote-starters unlock & disarm or lock & rearm wires are connected together to the bypass kit which will cause the bypass kit to receive a double-lock and/or double-unlock pulse depending on the timing of the remote-starters outputs.

Solution

(A) Reprogram the remote-starter or after-market alarm to send only a single lock/unlock pulse to the bypass kit.

(B) Connect only one of these wires to the bypass kit, not both. Connect either the lock & unlock or arm & disarm wires from the remote-starter.
