Factory alarm is triggered when remote starting with EVO-CHR.
Symptom
The factory alarm is triggered when the vehicle is remote-started when using an EVO-CHR.
Cause
The EVO-CHR was programmed without indicating that the vehicle has a factory alarm and will not disarm the factory alarm during remote-start. This will cause the factory alarm to trigger as soon as it is remote-started.
Solution
Unplug the module and reprogram it starting from programming step 1. Just after step 7 in the programming sequence do either of the following to enable automatic disarm on the EVO-CHR module as soon as the GWR (Ground-out While Running) input is enabled:
Option A: Press the unlock button on the remote car starter remote control.
or
Option B: Ground the Purple/White wire with a jumper wire for 1 second.
Continue with the remaining programming steps normally to complete the programming.
