Panic mode not functioning properly.

Symptom

When an auxiliary output of the remote-starter of after-market alarm is connected to the panic input of the data bypass kit the panic does not work as expected.

Cause

The remote-starter or after-market alarm auxiliary output is sending either a constant ground output, or more commonly a constant repeating pulsed output.

Solution

The bypass kit panic input requires a single ground pulse to enable the panic mode, and a single ground pulse to disable the panic mode. If the remote-starter or aftermarket alarm does not utilize an output such as this it is recommended that the installer hook up the trunk release output or an auxiliary output which is able to send a single short ground pulse to the panic mode input of the bypass kit.
