The data bypass kit's LED does not turn on when the module is plugged in.

The bypass kit is unable to power up. Either there is no power (+12vDC) on the red wire, or no ground (0vDC) on the black wire.

Measure the voltage across these terminals and ensure the unit is getting 12vDC when the vehicle is idle, during crank and running with the key.
